About Us
Siop Pen Gwyn was born in 2021 after Nicola the Shop owner and chief fudge maker made a visit to the historic Cei Llechi Artisan Village in Caernarfon and instantly saw an opportunity to turn her long held dream of opening a fudge and traditional sweet shop into a reality!
The original Pen Gwyn was a family nickname, meaning white head for a trio of blonde haired brothers who lived in Caernarfon, the nickname has hung around longer than the hair, but the blonde legacy can still be seen in the youngest of the Pen Gwyn crew! As a nod to this you will often see Mrs Pen Gwyn, the Welsh Lady on our logo sporting a white hat-while not traditional dress to have a white hat it makes sure she has her very own Pen Gwyn.
Based in Snowdonia we are passionate about all things sweets and fudge! We hand craft and make our fudge in our kitchen with shop in the historic town of Caernarfon, just under the castle walls with views of the Menai Straits.
Homemade Fudge
All our fudge is made using Welsh butter and the finest local ingredients, we partner with local Welsh suppliers using only the finest ingredients. The aroma of warm buttery sugary fudge can often be smelled as you enter our Cei Llechi Fudge kitchen and shop.
Traditional Sweets
