Wrapping Up a Sweet Summer

September always feels like a turning point. The pace slows a little, the nights draw in sooner, and we swap beach days for school runs and cosy evenings. For us at Siop Pen Gwyn, it’s also the moment to look back on a whirlwind summer and say a huge thank you to everyone who shared it with us.

From our shop in Beddgelert to Palace Street in Caernarfon, and all the way to the Beaumaris Artisan Market, it’s been wonderful to welcome so many of you. We’ve loved seeing families making fudge part of their day out, children with noses pressed to the glass counters, and friends returning for their favourite flavours.

The season brought plenty of highlights too—our busy stall at Conwy Seed Fair, the brilliant atmosphere at Llangefni Food Festival, and weekends full of familiar faces in Beaumaris. Each event left us with sweet memories (and a few empty fudge trays by the end of the day!).
And whether your summer strolls took you through the storybook streets of Beddgelert or past the towering walls of Caernarfon, there’s always a sense of history close by. From the legend of Gelert to tales of dragons and princes, these places remind us that every corner has a story to tell—just as every piece of fudge carries a little tradition with it.

As autumn begins, we’re excited for what’s next. New flavours are already in the works, and there’ll be plenty of seasonal specials to discover. Summer may be behind us, but there’s always more sweetness ahead.
